The Sangam in New Zealand organises and takes part in many and varied activities.
Some of these are the holding of regular Committee and Council Meetings, numerous Prayers and Religious events, an annual Deepawali Function and Cultural Function, Tamil Natak dances, Business and Community dinners, Soccer and Netball Tournaments, and participation in the Annual Sangam Convention in Fiji during Easter.
An Office and Service/Drop-in Centre is loacted at the Sangam Village propoerty in Auckland. The Centre services the needs of the Indian Community in New Zealand.
A number of other projects are planned for the future, including the setting-up a Business Association, building a Temple and Community Hall, a Retirement Home, a Sports Complex, a Resource Centre, a Medical Centre, and an Early Childhood Learning Centre and School.
Activities also include liaising and networking with other Community Organisations
The Sangam also assists and co-operates with other Social, Educational, Cultural, Religious, Sporting, Business, Women's and Governmental groups.
