Aims & Objectives

To promote South Indian Culture, Languages and Traditions

To carry out, promote and sponsor religious, cultural and sporting activities

To carry on educational work, and to impart and promote the study of Science, Art, Industry and Technology

To construct, purchase, lease, rent, maintain and/or alter any property or building for the purpose of the Sangam

To build, manage and maintain temples, rest-homes and monasteries

To obtain and retain affiliation and work in co-operation with the "Then India Sanmarga Ikya Sangam of Fiji".

To promote, encourage and support members in business

To establish, maintain, assist and manage Schools, Colleges, Libraries, Orphanages, Workshops, Laboratories, Dispensaries, Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Houses for Infants, the Invalid and the Afflicted, Boarding Houses, Hostels and other similar educational and charitable works and institutions

To impart and promote the study of Hinduism and its scriptures, and to promote the study of comparative Theology, and to assist and bring about the harmony of all religious.

To print, publish, sell and/or distribute newsletters, books, pamphlets, journals and periodicals

To sponsor underprivileged children for educational purposes

To establish and maintain institutions or shelters, and to carry-out charitable work that provides for the welfare and well-being of the underprivileged or elderly

To form and manage any trust, agency or business which may seem conducive to any of the objectives of the Sangam

To undertake and enter into any business ventures and to use the income to promote the objectives of the Sangam.

To incorporate other organisations that have objectives similar to those of the Sangam, and co-operate with other persons in order to achieve those objectives

To liase, communicate, and exchange information and ideas with other groups, community organisations that have similar interests, aims and objectives

To undertake fundraising activities, and to raise and borrow money in order to achieve the above objectives

To carry out any other activities or functions that help achieve the above objectives
